#towerthursday is a golden tower from lancomeofficial Absolue range. A luxurious range that I have repurchased. It was fantastic over the winter months and I definitely felt my skin less dry and irritated. I have some minis of this to use up. I will probably come back to this range again at some point but it is expensive and I feel that there’s so much on the market now that I want to try out some other brands.

Face Mask Myths… True or False?

Face masks can hydrate your skin, dry out your skin, clear up your skin, etc.  But are they really all they’re cracked up to be?

Myth #1: Face masks are harmful to your skin.
TRUE and FALSE!  Too much of anything can be bad for your skin.  This rule applies to face masks.  Although they can be super beneficial, don’t use one multiple times a day!

Myth #2: Face masks have little to no actual skincare benefits.  FALSE!  Most masks actually do benefit your skin.  They can help hydrate it, eliminate oils and dirt, or simply boost its radiance.

Myth #3: You can make your own DIY masks that are just as beneficial.  TRUE!  There are tons of different mask recipes on Pinterest that you can make right at home that are great for your skin!(but be careful there is a lot of misleading information)

Myth #4: Using a face mask every day is a good thing.  TRUE and FALSE!  Depending on the type of mask it is, it can either dry out your skin or moisturize it.  For example, if you’re using a clay mask every day, it could really start to dry out and damage your skin!

💖 At the age of 29 (4 years ago), I started to have severely hooded eyelids due to sun exposure and premature aging because I am a surfer and I am always in the water and sun. ⁣⁣
💖 My eyelids became so hooded that I was embarrassed to go out in public until I found a solution to my problem.⁣⁣
💖 Some people close to me recommended botox and even one doctor told me the best option was surgery. ⁣⁣
💖 I started researching facial yoga and found some youtube videos but wasn’t getting the results I wanted. ⁣⁣
💖 I started studying facial anatomy and developing some of my own routines to get the results I wanted. ⁣⁣
💖 During that time Helena and I started Face Goddess Yoga and the 15 Day Bright Eye Bootcamp was developed from my own personal experience.⁣⁣

How to do:⁣
➡️ Put your pointer finger and thumb together creating a small circle with your fingers⁣
➡️ Place the small circle below your eyebrows and on your undereye bone⁣
➡️ Slightly open your fingers creating a small C⁣
➡️ Tightly close your eyes and push your eyebrows against your fingers.⁣
➡️ At the same time lifting your lower eyelid. ⁣

➡️ Rotate your eyes to the top of your head⁣
➡️ Hold for 10 seconds and repeat 2x.⁣
➡️ Massage the forehead to smooth out any lines created.⁣
